DESCRIPTION
The Amandla Omoya Trust will invest R7.5 million over three years in children and young people who have finished high school and want to continue their education at public or private TVET colleges, universities of technology, or academic universities in South Africa.
For the benefit of communities within a 50-kilometer radius of the farm, the Amandla Omoya Trust is a community trust that owns shares in the Jeffreys Bay Wind Farm. It thinks everyone in its communities ought to have the chance to realize their potential. The Trust does this, for example, by encouraging youth to succeed.
For 2023, the Trust has R2.5 million in bursaries to award.
Students who are enrolled in or planning to enroll in technical and vocational education and training programs, as well as national diploma and degree programs, with the goal of achieving NQF level 4, are asked to apply for a scholarship. Young people who have already earned their NSC or NTC but are not enrolled in school can also apply.
