 Bursary Details 

Applicants who want to pursue their studies further in particular subjects are given financing possibilities in the form of bursaries. Bursaries are given out based on financial necessity and are connected to strong academic performance.

Once you have finished your studies, you might need to work for a while because the employer has established specific requirements for the bursary. Each bursary has a different award amount. You must be ready to fund some of your fees because most bursaries do not cover all of your charges.

Students pursuing a Chartered Accountancy degree are given bursaries by Deloitte. We're searching for people who excel in all facets of their lives and are well-rounded. High levels of energy, effective communication skills, and self-confidence are further traits that would support an application. Please study the requirements you must complete in order to apply for a bursary.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be South African OR Namibian citizen
  • Applicants must have completed Matric OR currently in Matric
  • Applicants must have completed Mathematics in Matric or currently doing Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy)
  • Applicants must be studying or intend on studying towards a CA-stream undergraduate or postgraduate qualification
  • Applicant must be studying or intend on studying at a SAICA accredited University
  • Applicants must wish to pursue a career in the Chartered Accountancy profession
  • Academic requirements for Accounting major
  • In your first or second year of study and have a achieved a minimum overall average of 70%
  • In your third year of study and have a achieved a minimum overall average of 65%
  • Completed at least 4 subjects in your previous academic year of study

On completion of their studies, students are required to complete a 3 year traineeship programme with the company.
