BURSARY DESCRIPTION 

The main goal of the Petra Diamonds bursary program is to include all areas of engineering in the diamond mining sector. 

This business is committed to creating a stronger future with talented young people. They help South Africans develop their skills by giving them several opportunities. You've come to the perfect place if you want to learn everything there is to know about the mining sector. It is commonly known that diamonds are not only the most expensive but also the hardest jewels. But did you know that the moniker Unbreakable, which means it is the strongest material on earth, is Greek?

Bursary Options

Every year, Petra Diamonds offers a large number of bursaries. 

The following options may be available for some job paths:

  • Earth Science / Geology
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Electrical Maintenance
  • Diamond Processing
  • Mining Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Welding
  • Diesel Mechanic
  • Boiler making
  • Fitting & Turning

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must include a thorough curriculum vitae with contact information, reachable references, and any other details they believe may be pertinent to their application. Additionally, if possible, include verified copies of all pertinent documents and certificates. Candidates must be citizens of South Africa.

Required documents:

  • Matric with University exemption
  • Must hold a minimum of a 6/7 for Mathematics and Science
  • English, read, write and speak
  • Must have or be able to obtain a fitness certificate
  • Be self-motivated and a team player
  • Must have a keen interest in the mining industry
  • Flexibility with a commitment to learn, but moreover willingness to work
  • Must be willing to relocate to rural areas or where the mining concern is located (if needed)
  • Candidates currently studying may apply within their field if they hold high academic achievements

When it becomes available, you can download the form, fill it out, and return it to Career Wise for the initial evaluation together with the necessary supporting paperwork.
