The Mpumalanga Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport invites applications for the positions listed below from all qualified, unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 35. To build a better future, experience and knowledge are combined with job opportunities and long-term partnerships.

REQUIREMENTS
- Level 3 National Certificate Vocational (NCV) in Engineering
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science
- N3 in Mathematics and Physical Science Certificate.
- Aged between 18 and 35
- Valid South African ID book.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Understanding of and enthusiasm for the construction industry.
- Understanding of departmental policies and processes, as well as fundamental literacy and communication abilities.
- Willingness to sign a contract for 18 months with the National Youth Service Program, which will involve training in technical skills and on-the-job applications.
DUTIES
- Perform basic competency-level tasks in the different trades, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, landscaping, bricklaying, plastering, tiling, and installing doors, windows, and glass.
- Recognize the importance of productivity and work.
- Values at work and citizenship.
- The nearest Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport District Offices should receive a completed Z83 application form with the appropriate reference number, CV, and certified copies of qualifications.
N.B Incorrect or incomplete applications won't be accepted. The local area where the office and/or function will be based will be given consideration when selecting candidates. Per district/post, there should only be one (1) application.
Only the shortlisted candidates will be allowed to communicate. If three months have passed since the advertised closing date and you have not heard anything, please assume that your application was unsuccessful.
