DESCRIPTION

RCL FOODS is seeking an intern to work in our Quality division. The position will be based in our Buns and Rolls bakery in Pretoria West and will report to the senior quality assurance technician. RCL Foods is seeking a highly organized, competent person who can fulfill client expectations, provide outcomes, and perform well under pressure.

We are a significant food producer in South Africa, employing approximately 21 000 people. We manufacture a wide range of branded and private label food items, which we subsequently sell via Vector, our in-house supply chain route-to-market expert.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Grade 12
  • Candidates must possess or be pursuing a tertiary degree in quality, food safety, or a technical field.
  • Those who already possess a national diploma in food safety or are pursuing one will be given preference.
  • Good leadership and interpersonal communication abilities are expected.
  • Be prepared to work shifts and a variety of hours.
  • Expected to be familiar with computers (basics)
  • Reliable decision-making abilities.
  • Assertiveness and assurance
  • A motivated self-starter.
  • A capacity for pressure-free work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • By keeping an eye on online behavior and filling out the relevant check sheets, you can monitor the quality of websites.
  • Organize the team to deliver a high-quality result, and demonstrate some leadership skills.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and maintain records and paperwork about product delivery and client complaints.
  • Reports deviations and recommends the required correction measures
  • Monitors the implementation of corrective measures and elevates the situation to a higher level of authority if necessary.
  • Observes that line workers follow SHE, GMP, and food safety procedures and offers advice on appropriate corrective action when violations occur.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with internal, customer-specific, and mandated legal and legislative obligations.
  • Conduct checks to ensure compliance with SHE, GMP, and food safety standards as well as contact with area management.
