BOSTON CITY CAMPUS BURSARY APPLICATION 2023

DESCRIPTION

With a vision of Education, Boston City Campus' aim is to offer all students a relevant, high-quality education. For ever. We want to play a long-term role in the learner's life, which entails that we are not just study partners but also job and life partners. We operate in local, national, and sectoral contexts. We think that every student should have a chance in this.

ABOUT
We've had a bursary program since the college first opened in 1991. Our goal has always been to graduate as many students as possible and help them find employment. The bursary program started in finance with the goal of increasing the number of black CAs in South Africa, but it has evolved over time. We continue to stay in touch with program graduates who are now working for the IDC and the African Bank.

A committee that we have reviews each application for a bursary. Our new SAM system receives these requests through the branch managers. Applications are submitted with all required documentation, such as identification documents, matriculation certificates, and motivational letters.

The committee considers each submission. In an effort to help as many candidates as possible for the campus, consideration is given to the additional financial obligations that will be imposed on the learner, such as transportation, food, and other expenses. The fact that all textbooks are included in the learners' fees and scholarship is a major benefit for those who receive our bursaries.

Following applications in May and November, the committee manages and distributes bursaries for Boston City Campus on a semester-by-semester basis. They want to help as many students as they can. Assistance is given for Boston tuition and textbook prices; however, external test costs, stationery costs, housing costs, and travel expenses are not covered by Boston bursaries.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Bursaries awarded MAY NOT BE USED TO OFFSET FEES OWING.
  • Bursaries may only be used towards studies for which a student has NOT YET registered for. This applies to new and registered students.
  • Bursaries may not be transferred to a third party. Should a student not make use of the awarded bursary, it will become null and void.
  • NO late application for bursaries will be accepted.
  • No reasons will be given as to the awarding or declining of a bursary. No correspondence will be entered into.
  • Bursaries may not be redeemed for cash
  • Registration fees, external fees, travel costs, accommodation costs and stationery expenses are not covered by the bursary
  • Should you select a course that exceeds the value of your bursary, the additional cost is for your own account. Should your fees account amount to less than the value stipulated above, no change will be given and no credit toward other modules/qualifications.
  • Applicants must be at a minimum 17 years of age. Enrolment must be endorsed by their legal guardian and/or parent in writing if under the age of 18. All students under the age of 18 must have written consent to register.

The campus has always believed that matching a learner's interests and skills to his or her job choice considerably increases academic performance. This is why we provide bursary recipients the freedom to choose their own profession or course of study.
