DESCRIPTION
Students are encouraged to apply for scholarships from African Rainbow Minerals (ARM) for the 2023 academic year.
Scholarships will be given for undergraduate study in the following subjects at the Universities of Cape Town and Stellenbosch:
University of Cape Town:
- Accounting
- Geology
- Chemical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
University of Stellenbosch:
- Chemical Engineering
- Process Engineering
- Geology
- Law
CLOSING DATE
Before the deadline on November 30, 2022, applicants for the (ARM (African Rainbow Minerals) Bursary 2023) must submit their applications.
Please pay close attention to whether the application being delivered to the selection committee is complete in accordance with the criteria that have been established, allowing applicants to receive the opportunity with what was anticipated.

- Matric certificate (certified copy)
- University full academic record (on institutions letterhead)
- University acceptance letter
- Motivational letter to support your application (maximum 1 page)
- Curriculum Vitae (maximum 1 page)
NB: Students applying for this bursary do not need to fill out an application; they simply need to provide the list of required documentation.

Within 21 days after the closing date, shortlisted candidates will be notified; if you have not heard anything by then, please consider your application to have been unsuccessful.
It is advised that those of you who want to register to pay close attention to the established requirements in order to improve your chances.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- You must be a South African citizen
- You must have completed Matric
- You must be studying at the University of Cape Town or the University of Stellenbosch, within one of the fields listed above
- You must have completed your 1st or 2nd year of study
- You must be entering your 2nd or 3rd year of study in 2023
- You must have a strong academic record
- You must NOT be currently receiving any other bursary funding

- accommodation in university residence
- meals
- a data allowance if necessary.
Before a final decision is reached, candidates must participate in psychometric tests and a panel interview.
